Snowtex®
Don't let "Old Man Winter" keep you off your scooter. Heidenau has designed tires specifically for dealing with snow or freezing cold. From the rubber to the casing, these tires are all business.
Construction
Stronger than normal casings are used in construction, with two different rubber compounds. The combination of special fibers with a high silica content rubber in the tread give a 30% improvement in traction over standard compounds.
Usage
Simply fit as a normal tire with normal operating pressure, before winter conditions. A little breaking in is recommended for best traction. Snowtex® tires are designed for snow or freezing conditions though, and due to the softness of the compounds, excessive wear will be noted in dry conditions. Prolonged use on dry roads is not recommended.
Performance
The K 58, K 62 and K 59 already give superior performance in the cold and wet, but testing has shown a 30% improvement in traction with the Snowtex® tires. Winter roads can throw many problems at you. Your tires shouldn't be one of them.
